Locations!

I am going to use a variety of different locations, from places at home in Edinburgh to places at school. All the locations which I have chosen will allow me to show the different lives of my characters in my music video. And some shots will be aesthetically pleasing. This process is vital to the music video as it will have a huge influence on the outcome of the film. Most of the locations which i have chosen are very quite, this will allow me to film without being disturbed.

One of my locations which i plan to use is my living room in my house. This is where i plan to shoot the beginning, where my actress will be sitting on the seat with a 'drink' using the light of the fireplace. Using black and white effect.   

Another location which i will use, is the front garden/ drive way at my house, and the road outside This is where i will   shoot actress getting in car and driving of.

Below is a picture of a beach where i plan to film the good times and memories which they shared. This will be through out different parts of my music video. I will use sepia effect here

Here is a picture of a field, again used to show memories and good times. Will film the actors in this locations, blowing bubbles into the shot. And use Bokeh effect.

This is a picture of a dinner table, this will be where the arguing will take place.

Below is picture of the north lawn with the lake, this is where i will show the fireworks.

Shot List and Shooting skript

Bellow are my shot list. This shows at each location the shots which i will have to take, this saves time as by shooting all the shots i need at the time will save me going back and forth. Also By doing this, it will keep me on task and organised.

In House.
At this location i will shoot:
- over the sholder shot
- POV - from fire's perspective
- zoom close up of face
- low angle, looking up at girl on seat
- zoom, dutch tilt so camera is at eye level with actress
- foccus pull, so foccus is on face in mirror
- over the sholder shot, looking at self in mirror
- mid shot/ close up
- mid shot, drying face
- long shot, when running out

Front garden
At this location i will shoot:
- mid shot, of car
- close up, of girl coming out of car
- Panning shot, of car speeding of 
- subjective shot/ POV, looking out of window whilst driving

Beach
- Panning shot of beach / establishing shot
- long shot, showing couple
- mid shot of couple
- close up, going in for a kiss

Field
- close up, of hair and face blowing in the wind when ridding bike

Dinner table

Animatic Story Board

Five main sections for my video

1. One of my main theme for my music video will be in black and white, I will use this effect when showing the lonely rich side of her life, as i think these colours relate to the feeling i want to put across at this stage. The pictures bellow are some ideas of showing this. 

2)
The second main theme for my video is using the effect sepia, i will use this when showing the happiness of the couple together as i think this effect relates to the feeling of being warm and happy. I will be switching back and forth between these two effects (black and white) throughout the video. 

3) I am going to film sparklers and use the bokeh effect. 

4) I am going to use some shots of fireworks in this piece to show the excitement and fun between the couple. 

5) I am going to film them running or playing in a field and blowing bubbles so the sunlight catches of them so creates rainbow colours within them. The connotation of this is showing the fun they are having and how they are sort of behaving like kids.

Story Arc

Key Elements

The genre which i am doing is Indi pop/ euro pop / trance. The key elemts which you see presented in most of these music videos are varied depending on the genre, and each genre has a different message they want to get across to their audience.

 Indi pop music videos are normally just filming the band performing. Showing there guitars, and style of their clothing, such as a girl would wear high boots and a T-shirt, whilst a guy would wear jeans and a denim shirt or jacket.
other key elements which you see in their music videos is it is common to show film through sepia effect or black and white.
The message which independent pop sends across is ....


                                                                                

Trance music videos are all very common, they mainly show the DJ at the concert performing with bright lights, and shows the audience dancing having a good time. The message this used to give of was people on drugs dancing having a good time and the lights adding the effect to the drugs. But now a days i would say that it is more about the music and dancing and not so much about listening to the music whilst on drugs like back in the 90's

 The key elements which pop music show are beautiful girls with 'perfect' bodies in a slutty outfit
dancing provocaly and singing to the camera. They do this so that it is more intertaining for the viewers and makes people want to watch it especially males. There is also normally a male figure in the video in which the song is aimed at. Also sometimes we see
aspirational elements, showing very nice cars, planes, boats very nice houses ect.. this makes audiences intreged aswell. There is also always a group dance routine, which we see in many pop videos such as, brittney speacs - crazy, justin bieber - as long as you love me.
The message in most of these music videos are being in love or wanting to be in love and the problems which you might face.
